About the collections
The catalogue contains records of items from the different collections held in the Cathedral including manuscripts, early printed books, modern reference books, church plate and vestments. The manuscripts and early printed books are housed in the Cathedral Library and are available for academic research only. The modern reference collections are available to Cathedral staff and volunteers, students and members of the public. The library operates on a reference only basis and access to the Reading Rooms is by prior appointment. There is no charge to use the libraries although charges do apply for photographic images and photocopies.
